Responsibilities
- Knowledge of quantity food production, standard sanitation and safety practices and procedures related to the preparation, serving and transporting of food
- Utilizing and supervising the use of commercial food service equipment
- Use the computer to communicate with sites, access information and place orders
- Estimate quantities needed and to order correct amounts for economical food service
- Assist in requisitioning, receiving, and storing foods and supplies
- Prepare, cook and bake a wide variety of food in large quantities
- Lift moderately heavy items and stand for sustained periods of time
- Supervise the operation of kitchen
- Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Maintain proper care of equipment and ensure the sanitation of the kitchen
- Assist in inventory and maintaining records
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in managing
- Computer experience (microsoft excel, microsoft word)
- Two years of experience in the preparation and serving of large quantities of food
- High school diploma or GED
- ServSafe Manager Certification
