Please note that the salary range for the role is $75,000 - $90,000.

Responsibilities

  • Approve Enrollment Applications – submit weekly enrollment/attendance report;
  • Generate attendance templates and collect daily attendance
    • Cross-reference to ensure terminated students are not attending;
  • Generate and collect daily sign-in and out sheets;
  • Submit and maintain Child Care Admission Forms (vouchers);
  • DHS Attendance
    • Submit attendance report electronically by due date
    • Ensure subsidy terminations are recorded and accurate;
  • Submit a monthly DHS Subsidy Projection – within 2 business days of DHS attendance;
  • Reconcile monthly statements
    • Submit Error Report as necessary, on time;
  • Complete and submit subsidy renewal package – annually;
  • Facilitate child care license renewals, ensuring the following areas are in compliance:
    • Student’s immunization records
    • Student’s Health/Dental/OSSE documents
    • Staff Health/TB/Credentials/OSSE documents
    • Staff Professional Development Tracker
    • Fire Inspections
    • Insurance
    • First Aid/CPR Certifications
    • Food Handlers
    • Staff-to-Student Ratio
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of incident reports and submit to OSSE within 24 hours;
  • Attend Provider Meetings;
  • Ensure that facilities and staff members comply with state licensing regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Early Childhood or childcare experience is preferred.
  • Understand local and federal licensing and compliance regulations governing childcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and methodical.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
  • Effective November 1, 2021, all adult employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers working in person in a public, public charter, independent, private, or parochial school in the District of Columbia, and all adult employees, contractors, interns, and volunteers working in person in a child care facility regulated by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, shall have received a full course of a vaccination against COVID-19 unless they have been granted an exemption from such vaccination pursuant to, and are compliant with the requirements of, Section IV of this Order.”
